Implementing lattice structures into Tidal Blade internal Stiffener

The implementation of volumetric lattice structures into the internal structure of a Tidal Blade internal Stiffener is under investigation, towards substantial weight reduction of the component. Within this context BioG3D also manufactured scaled-down prototypes of the stiffeners to be employed for validation tests and performance assessment, through large format Vat photopolymerization, by optimizing process parameters to maximize accuracy and achieve targeted surface quality. Design optimization and lightweight validation while maintaining mechanical performance have been performed. Different lattice structures have been assessed for mechanical performance and incorporated in final design.
